Johnston & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1995. Our professional staff can offer you the breadth and depth of experience necessary to meet your specific goals. Ann-Margaret Johnston, CPA is a native of East Point, Georgia. She and her husband David, who is also a CPA, have lived in Gainesville since 1999. She received her BBA from Clayton State University and began Johnston & Associates in 1995. She has worked in public accounting since 1986 and has experience in all tax and accounting related areas. She has an extensive knowledge of Quickbooks and specializes in tax advice/prep for poker players and gamblers. She is Treasurer of Lanier/Forsyth Rotary and a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's. She has written many tax articles for poker sites as well writing for CardPlayer and Bluff magazines. Her book on "How To Turn Your Poker Playing Into A Business" was released in 2006.

Kelly Castleberry, CPA

Kelly Castleberry, CPA, is a native of Roswell, Georgia. She now resides in Cumming with her husband Bruce. She received her BBA from North Georgia College in Dahlonega in 1983. She started with Johnston & Associates in 2003 and is involved in all aspects of accounting with the firm. Kelly's experience includes bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, corporate and individual tax preparation, auditing and computer training in both for-profit and non-profit entities. She is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's.

Nancy Pesce is a native of Missouri. She recently moved to the Cumming area with her husband Matthew, who is a retired Veteran. She has worked in public accounting since 1981 and began working at the firm in May of 2007. She is an experienced accounting professional with expertise in all aspects of bookkeeping and administration.

We would like to welcome our newest employee Tammy Carter to our team of Johnston & Associates, Inc.

Tammy is married to Chuck Carter and they have two daughters Cameron age 8 and Courtney age 5. They live on the north end of Lake Sidney Lanier where Chuck began his own boat dock construction business in 1997. Tammy also finds time as a volunteer coach for girls youth basketball in Dawson County.

For over twelve years she has worked with QuickBooks in accounts payable/accounts receivable and bank reconciliations. She also has many years of experience in office management. Tammy is very happy to be a part of our team and hopes to be beneficial to both of our companies.

Madison and Morgan Johnston, Professional Greeters

Madison and Morgan Johnston, the office greeters, are natives of Gainesville, Georgia. Their careers began with the firm at the age of 5 weeks old. They both manage the front office and greet clients and visitors to the firm. Their task at the firm is to provide stress relief and opportunities for employees to take breaks with them outside.
